I finally bought the new Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate. - Love their new packaging. Colorful candies just makes you wanna eat them. I have always wanted the combination of candy and chocolate in a bar. Well done Cadbury.

Jelly Popping Candy & Beanies / Jelly & Crunchie Bits flavor. $1.80 each.

I'll start with Jelly & Crunchie Bits flavor. Visible jelly on the top of the chocolate bar.

Crunchie bits at the bottom. I love Crunchie! Those crunchy honeycomb bits are my favorite.

Sweet smooth rich milk chocolate with chewy jelly beans.

The chocolate is relatively sweeter than the jellies. There are 7 of these jellies in my bar (Yeah I counted) and it gets a little annoying when it get stuck on my teeth. Better to eat this bar at home so that you can get it off your teeth without worrying about anyone staring at you. Contrasting texture of hard and chewy in a bar.

Jelly Popping Candy I didn't freeze this one (Visible teeth mark!) Oh well, just wanted to let you guys see what is in it. The blue and red stuff in there are popping candy which makes a sound very similar to a crackling fire log in your mouth. I still remember getting a shock of my life eating the candy for the first time as a kid.

Chocolate in a chocolate. Inception. These are milk chocolate in candy shells, similar to smarties and m&m chocolate. There is only one pathetic jelly bean in this bar. Not very convince by the percentage of the content printed on the wrapper. To describe the chocolate in a sentence: Soft and smooth outside crunching and noisy within.


If you ask me, I prefer the  Jelly & Crunchie Bits because there are more jellies (I still like them even though they get on the teeth) and Crunchie is my all time favorite.

To conclude, I think it is a very fun candy chocolate to snack on.

Chocolate Time

Warning: This is an extremely long post.

My family and I got a lot of chocolate during Christmas so I decided to share some of them. Here are some chocolate that I ate, skipping all those common ones like toblerone, mars and snickers.

Ritter sport - Yogurt Flavor

I usually eat chocolate that are pretty common and it's the first time I tasted a yogurt flavor chocolate. (Pardon my teeth mark) It is not as strong as real yogurt. This is pretty mild, slightly sour creamy yogurt with a layer of milk chocolate.

Trefin seashells.

Not only are they good looking, they are delicious as well. A outer layer of white and milk chocolate with soft gooey center of hazelnut chocolate. This is pretty sweet with slight hint of cocoa. One of my favorites.

Royce' Pure Chocolate.

One thing about japanese packaging is that they are so meticulous with the details and most offers creative packaging that is easy to open and looks amazing as well.

This is just plain milk chocolate. Surprisingly, it is not too sweet like the average milk chocolate. This one has a slight bitter taste of cocoa and is slightly sweet. Very smooth chocolate.

Time for some belgium chocolate. Belgium Mini Choc's Noir

I love dark chocolate. This one is bitter dark chocolate. I don't know why it tasted a little minty when there is no mint in it. My mind is playing tricks on me.

Meiji Meltykiss - Green Tea Flavor

Easy to open and cute packaging.

There is a very rich, milky and creamy green tea taste. My tongue feels it drank a cup of milk green tea. There is a thin layer of cocoa powder on the outside that gives a very slight hint of cocoa.

Meiji Meltykiss - Milk

Not really fond of this flavor. Taste like ordinary milk chocolate.

Meiji Meltykiss -Strawberry

If I were to choose among the flavors of Meiji's Meltykiss, it would be strawberry.  I love the sweet and sour strawberry, creamy and milky chocolate.

Delfi Chocolatier - Mousse Chocolate

The rectangles are pretty huge. I think I prefer those chocolate bars with smaller squares. This is pretty chunky and because it is so big, I find it a little too cloying, The outer chocolate is sweet, so is the smooth mousse in the center. Just too sweet to my liking.

Twix.  I think I seen this a lot but have never tried it before.

After eating all those chocolate above, I think Twix is no match for the chocolate brand. This taste like cheap biscuit with sugar. Caramel is plain sugary and the thin layer of chocolate taste like sugar as well.

That sums up my chocolate review.

Softie in My Lolly @ VivoCity

Softie in My Lolly, located at level 2, outside the Golden Village. I would say this is a good strategic spot, to get some long liquorice strips before entering the cinema. I like how they give out free samples to try and the staff is really friendly.


I had never tried the traditional liquorice before but I heard it is a love/hate candy. You either love it or hate it to the core.

The liquorice when consumed at a larger amount (than the portion of the candy) , is beneficial for the health. One of benefits is that it facilitates removal of mucus from the lungs by coughing but it has a mild laxative effect.

Each strip selling at $3.50, 3 strips at $10. My friend and I prefer the sour range so we mixed the two flavour and got them cut into two packs. We got the sour apple and sour lime-lemon strips.

The apple flavour has a sweet chewy tube like coating (liquorice) with sour powder sprinkled on it. The core is soft sour candy.

The sour lime one isn't as sour as the apple ones though. There is a mild lemon, lime taste liquorice but the middle soft candy is sweet.

Rating: 4/5

Harry Potter Exhibition @ The Art Science Museum

This is gonna be my first semi food related post. I'm gonna talk about the exhibition too. With all the politics going on, I'm still gonna wish Singapore a very happy 47th birthday. This is the place I grew up with my homies. Haha.


Anyway, a special post for the special day.

My friend and I visited the exhibition yesterday. There weren't much people present. Like around 20 or so.

Art science museum: Nearest MRT - Bayfront Station

Discount for Singaporeans - $20 per adult. Just present your IC when you buy at the ticketing booth.

Flying Ford Anglia at the entrance. This is the enchanted car that Ron stole from his dad to rescue Harry. I feel like rewatching all the Harry Potter series again.

The place was dark and along the passageway we can see Ron, Harry and Hermione lit on the wall.

That was all the pictures I'm allowed to take. I can't take any pictures once I entered the exhibition because I will be sent to Azkaban.

I shall talk about a few memorable things in the exhibition:

1)The first was the Hogwarts train. The train was really cool with the smoke effect. I really wish I could take a picture. Now, taking a train from the King's Cross station shall be on my bucket list.

2) The next was sitting on Hagrid's ginormous chair in his hut.

3) Next was pulling the mandrakes out the pot. They make the most shrieking and annoying sound ever but it is still pretty cool.

4) The last one is looking at the food at the Great Hall, together with all the cool treats that the Weasley's Wizard Wheezes sells. I want to eat the dummies. Lol. At this point I really wish that I can visit Universal Orlando or the Warner Bros. Studio.

The timed exhibition is an hour but we were done with it in 20 minutes or so, scrutinizing most items. We ended up spending more time in the shop. Haha.

I bought the Elder wand for $75 out of impulse. This is the wand that Dumbledor used. Pretty tempted to buy the Malfoy's wand.

Pretty sick.

Until I realized that the replica is made in China. Still, it is cool.

The Elder Wand - 15 inches long and has a Thestral tail-hair core. Made out of Elder wood. Nah. This is made of resin and is actually heavier than expected.

The details are pretty cool.



Moving on to the candies I bought. I actually bought 3 packs of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Bean at $6 each. This is quite a small pack though. 2 packs for my friends.

I was pretty stoked to do a review on them!

A closer look at the flavors available.

I really love the detail on the box. Cool.

Here are all the jelly beans in the pack. I got 1 black pepper, 1 green apple, 2 tutti-frutti, 1 candyfloss, 1 watermelon, 5 earthworms, 4 vomit, 3 dirt, 2 grass, 2 booger, 2 blueberry, 2 sausages, 2 rotten eggs, two earwax, 3 soap.

Yes it is not EVERY flavor beans. he ones that I don't have in my box are banana, cherry, cinnamon, marshmallow and lemon. Kinda disappointing because I don't have the yummy flavors! What's with all the dirt, vomit and earthworms!

Earthworm: I don't know how earthworms taste like but these taste like herbs. While chewing these, I feel like I'm eating the earth. Earth flavor I guess.

Vomit: It is kinda of like sweet and sour veggie chemical like flavor. Weird. I guess someone regurgitated after eating sweet and sour fish with vegetables.

Dirt: This one is kinda like the earthworm. Herb tasting but a different kind of herb I guess.

I think the sweets are not really made of herbs because it is not under the ingredients. Artifical flavoring I guess.

Grass: Tasted like grass initially but after several chews, tasted like regular sugary jelly beans.
Booger: Tasted like ginseng initially, slowly losing the taste after several chews.
Blueberry: I like this one. Tasted like regular blueberry jellybeans. Yum!

Tutti-frutti: Kinda fruity but at some point, it smell kinda of like my grandma's ointment which is pretty strange.

Earwax: Omg this is disgusting. I spat out. I don't know how to describe it but it is a strange chemical smell that makes me feel nausea.

Green apple: Awesome green apples.

Watermelon: Regular watermelon chew.

Black pepper: This is pretty strange. This has a ground pepper taste. Kinda of like you are chewing on some black pepper chicken chops and then you eat jellybeans at the same time. There is still a lingering peppery taste after I finished the bean.

Soap: It has a dishwashing liquid smell, kinda of like mama lemon but it is not bitter at all. It is like I'm drinking soap.

Candyfloss, sausage, rotten eggs.

Candyfloss: This is my favorite flavor in the pack. Absolute delight to have at least an amazing bean in the pack.

Sausage: Has a slight sausage taste initially but for some reason, after a few chews, tasted like grass jelly. Haha.

Rotten egg: Spat this one out too. Tasted like the earwax flavor. Horrible!

These are nasty beans!  Out of curiosity, I tried this one out. I actually feel kinda of sick after eating them. If these aren't Harry Potter food, I would never have eaten them. Not gonna try them again.


It is a pity that the shop only sells Chocolate frogs and Every Flavor Beans. I would love to try butterbeer and rest of the candies if I have the chance. The chocolate frogs are also selling at $6, which is not really worth it. Kinda of like a super small regular milk chocolate with rice crisp in the shape of the frog with a wizard card.
